These are two poems written by my daughter Laura as a tribute to her Grandma, after her death on 18/8/99. The first one she actually read out at the funeral service.

Grandma

You were always loved,

This is how it will stay,

You will be loved and remembered everyday.

Time may alter,

Things may change,

But not the heartache,

That this day did bring.

The time we spent together,

Will live on in my heart,

Forever and forever.

I love you Grandma and I always will.

A gate stood open

On that sad unhappy day,

Even our farewells were left unsaid,

When you softly passed away,

Without a whisper you did say.

God must have known you had suffered,

Suffered enough to take you away,

Now you can rest, rest peacefully up there.
